It all started with a genuine, lovely gesture.
During Covid Chef Dario spent more time at home cooking and baking, and one day brought Leo a Jar of sauce; after a few days, Leo completely fell in love with the product and invited Dario to talk about the possibility to bottle and commercialise it. Dario then went back with a loaf of sourdough and a jar of the homemade tomato and basil sauce, but it was so reduced and tasty that they decided to spread it straight onto warm bread. They loved it so much that they decided to do something serious and delicious with it. That’s where Segreto was born.

Made with love, this is a fresh, organic, natural, vegan, gluten free sauce that has your back no matter what the family is craving! You can cook up a vibrant pasta or stir up some classic meatballs in a jiffy. Go on a tasty adventure by making a chicken parmigiana or finish your soup with a generous dollop for that extra tang. Many are the recipes you can cook and improve with this sugo.

It reduces at a low heat for 16 hours until the oil becomes completely red, but the real secret to our sauce is the soffritto, which is healthier than most. The onion and garlic slowly turn golden at a very low heat for more than 2 hours!
